During the week, we had a meeting with a property owner, referred by my network, regarding the sale of their 77 decare olive grove land in Gemlik.
While doing the expert work on the relevant parcels, I looked at the valuations from different sources.
Development has begun to come near the area. The property owner's expectation was that development would eventually come to the area where the relevant olive groves were located.
In my research, I read about the possibility of zoning olive groves in some regions throughout Türkiye.
I could not see such zoning information for the Bursa Gemlik region.
Afterwards, in my meeting with the property owner, I informed him that the valuation I would make would be based on the olive grove's land status.
The property owner, on the other hand, was expecting a valuation based on development expectations.
Since our approaches were different, I thanked him for his interest and ended our meeting by wishing him healthy and pleasant days.
